Okay, let's do this!
So, picking the entrants who get drawings turned out to be really easy since everyone who asked is getting one
I sort of timed this so I would have ideas lined up for my holiday break that's coming up, so I'll get started on them once I finish my current work in progress and then I'll do them as I'm able. Given drawings usually take about a week, give or take, I hope to have them all done by February, but it may take until the end of that month in reality. I want to give each of them my best shot, you know?
So, the projects are gonna be:EmmitS
-- Doctor Stefania Strange (Maybe Stephanie? I'm not sure whether to go with the commonality of a name or the gravitas). This idea definitely has me intrigued, and should be fun to work out.Daegann
-- Their OC Zoe, who looks kind of badass and should be fun to try out.Stygii
-- Their OC Enoch, a demon fellow that'll take me out of my usual comfort zone. It'll be fun to translate Stygii's style into my own.KitsMits
-- Her OC Kaiya, but with a bit of a punked-out twist. This is kind of a good-girl-gone-badass twist, which is always something I like to do.
Thank you, all, for throwing those ideas at me. It's ... what's the word I'm looking for? I feel very fortunate that these are things you want me to give a shot, and I hope I meet your expectations. I'll tap you on your shoulders when each of the pieces are done, and if you get any ideas or suggestions before I post them, feel free to drop me a line. As long as I haven't started the piece, I'll do my best to incorporate them.
My First GiveawaySo, I've felt really grateful lately for the support and encouragement I've received here, and even though there aren't really any milestones worth celebrating in sight, I figured I'd do a bit of a giveaway anyway.
So I'm going to pick from the people who enter at random and draw a head shot or bust of a character of their choice, whether a well known character, someone flying under the radar in their favorite series of novels, or a character of their own. The only limitations are that it isn't going to be risque, and if you want any chance of color being involved I'm going to need to be able to find a detailed description or photo online (that's the color blind factor coming into play). I think I'm best at drawing women, but male characters are totally allowed. Anthropromorphs... well, they'll be a bit of an experiment, but they're also fair game. It's your call!
If there was anyone you wanted to see done in my style (I should put that in quotes because I'm not sure I really have one.
